The Pro Shop Attendant at the Ice Arena repairs, rents, and sells skates and equipment at ice skating rink by performing the duties below. In addition to attending to the equipment, the Pro Shop Attendant will be responsible for score keeping during hockey tournaments and doing some light cleaning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, other duties may be assigned)
- Removes skate blade from shoe, places it in guide frame, and sharpens blade on grinding wheel.
- Drills holes in shoe and bolts blade to shoe.
- Cleans skates with cloth or buffing tool and places them on shelf according to size.
- Issues skates to patrons and collects ticket or money for rental.
- Sells merchandise such as skates, skate guards, and skating apparel.
- Runs clock for tournaments.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor, which could be directly related, or un-related to original position.
