The Ski & Ride Kids Program Supervisor is a key part of the supervisor leadership team in the Ski & Ride School, specifically responsible for all aspects of running the Kids Program for skiers and snowboarders ages 4-12.

Applicants need to be energetic, passionate, welcoming, and hardworking people who want to be a part of creating a fantastic time for guests and employees while at Jay and part of our Kids Program. The program has been growing and changing fast over the last few years as Jay Peak has expanded and the supervisor is responsible for continuing this evolution and constantly working towards a better, more efficient and effective program. The supervisor's ability to foster change and adjust aspects of the experience is crucial to the development of this part of the school.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, other duties may be assigned)

• Must be able to ski and or snowboard
• Supervise daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal operations of the Kids Program.
• Oversee the lead positions in the kids' program and develop growth for those positions
• Observe the employee and guest experience and work with the leads and other members of the SRS         leadership team to modify, improve, and expand the program
• Create a work environment the staff are excited to work in, feel like a part of the team, and are able to share their feedback and suggestions.
• Offer high quality, professional experiences to Jay Peak's guests
• Be a supportive and positive member of the entire Ski & Ride School team and resort staff.
• Show an understanding of the manager’s three guidelines for customer service: Know where they're coming from, make a plan for their success, and love them.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 100+ employees in the Ski & Ride School Departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least three years of teaching skiing or snowboarding
• Minimum PSIA or AASI level 2 certification
• Minimum PSIA or AASI Level 2 Childrens Specific certification
• Proven leadership in a Ski & Ride School program
• Competent in Microsoft Office programs
• Passionate with a positive attitude
• Caring, humble, and supportive of staff
• Ability to remain calm in stressful, fast past work environments
• Committed to the success of the program and people involved
• Supportive of Jay Peak's mission, policies and procedures

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY
High Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Competent in Microsoft Office Suite programs, to include Microsoft Teams. W2W Scheduling software preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
PSIA/AASI Level 2 or higher certification, Level 2 Children's Specific certification
